Dahiwadi College was established in the 1965. It is run by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Satara which provides quality Education to deprived strata of society. Dahiwadi is situated on the bank of sacred river “Manganga”.It is located on Satara –Pandharpur road which 65 km from Satara. Dahiwadi is town place comes under region of purely dry area of man tahesil.
Dahiwadi is an inspiration for new generation because this is the place where Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil educated during his child hood.
The college has well fenced eco-friendly campus 0f 19 acres rich with different plant species and Coconut Avenue.
College has 1 acre botanical garden with barbed wired fencing chained constructed on 5 feet height stonewall. The entire garden Polyhouse & 2 shades net are provided with system of drips &sprinkler irrigation.
The main purpose of botanical garden is to conserve the rare, endangered, endemic &medicinal plants. In botanic garden these plants are conserved by ex –situ conservation method. Hence almost importance has been given for collection of such plant species from different localities.
